BABBLES Removing notes with King’s images The nation is in multiple crisis. The Covid-19 pandemic has seriously hit the nation. The government has not been able to tackle the Covid-19 infected people as the flow of arrival of people from India has increased and the cases of infection have rapidly increased. The nation is on lockdown, which has entered into the third month. All activities have been halted and the consequences of the pandemic are out of the government capability. In the meantime, there is stand-off between Nepal and India on Kalapani issue. In such a period, to shift its incapability in all fronts, the Nepal Rastra Bank has instructed the financial institutions to remove notes with King’s images from circulation! The central bank has instructed to keep such notes along with those already destroyed notes. RPP chairman Kamal Thapa, senior advocate Bhimarjun Acharya, among others, have remarked that this is an attempt to delete historical facts. Time to identify foreign puppets The government has decided to amend the constitution to make a change on the court of arms by replacing the previous map with new map comprised of the Kalapani territory. When the government decided to amend the constitution, some political forces have started to play their games to fail the amendment process. This is, in fact, the time to identify those foreign puppets, although, immediately, they are unable to speak openly. Useless but expensive province governments During the time when the country is facing problem in managing the Covid-19 pandemic, the province governments have totally failed to prove its significance. There are ministers, chief ministers, legislators, judiciary, security and almost all organs alike the federal government, which has remarkably increased the government expenditure, though, they are non-functional. Do the government need to feed such white elephants anymore! India should get rid of Oli? Former Indian ambassador to Nepal, Manjeev Singh Puri, commenting at a TV show on the ongoing dispute on Kalapani territory, remarked that India should get rid of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. He has also hinted towards using/empowering India friendly NC. To note, PM Oli is an elected prime minister of Nepal, a sovereign country, but the diplomat was hinting towards ousting Oli and finding other political force friendly towards India! A demonstration of Indian hegemonies and expansionist mentality!
