Gold price set a new record on Monday when its price climbed to Rs. 76,000 per tola in local market.
The gold price continuously increased for three days to reach the record high price on Monday. Earlier on Sunday, a tola of gold was traded at Rs. 75,500 per tola.
Iran-America tension is attributed for the rise in gold price in the international market whereas devaluation of devaluation of exchange rates of Nepali rupees against the US dollar contributed to the increase in gold price in the local market.
The exchange rate of one US dollar reached Rs. 115.55 on Monday while it was 115.18 on Sunday and Rs. 114.75 on Friday.
