Poudel camp’s meeting of district presidents kicks off, Sitaula absent
Kathmandu, 6 January: The meeting of district presidents of Nepali Congress (NC) called by dissident leader Ram Chandra Paudel took place at the party office in Sanepa today where over 40 district presidents participated.
District presidents close to Paudel and Krishna Sitaula are attended it while Sitaula remained absent. The district presidents close to President Sher Bahadur Deuba did not attend it.The factions of Paudel and Sitaula are enraged after Deuba unilaterally extended a one-year term of his presidency and announced date for the next general convention. Deuba's four-year term expires in March 2020.
