Kathmandu, 5 January : The second meeting of Central Committee of the ruling Nepal Communist Party, scheduled from January 8, has been postponed till January 29.The NCP Secretariat meeting held at the official residence of the Prime Minister at Baluwatar today decided to postpone the meeting as the central committee members have to involve in preparation of National Assembly election which is taking place on January 23. Although the party's interim statute-2075 issued after unification between the then CPN (UML) and CPN (Maoist Centre) has a provision of holding a central committee meeting once in six months, the meeting is taking place only after one-and-half-year.
