Kathmandu, 27 December 27: A meeting of concerned authorities chaired by Home Minister Rambahadur Thapa on Thursday in the Home Ministry has decided to remove posters, pamphlets, hording boards cables in the Kathmandu streets in a move for beatification of Kathmandu.
The meeting was attended by security chiefs of three security organs, chiefs of Metropolitan City, chief district officers of Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur and other concerned authorities.
Following the Supreme Court order to make Kathmandu environment friendly and beautifying the city by managing ugly things in the city, the government has taken initiative.
The meeting also decided to publish a public notice to remove cables by the concerned business companies hanging in electricity and telephone poles in the Valley. The meeting has decided to ask concerned authorities to manage cables underground.
