Kathmandu, 25 December : The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has forwarded 20-point recommendations to the government to implement the fundamental rights enshrined in the Constitution. The recommendations were made to the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers on the occasion of the 70 years of the adoption of Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), according to NHRC Spokesperson Bed Prasad Bhattarai.
The acts made on implementation of the fundamental rights need to be corrected after discussion with concerned stakeholders. The amendment process needs to be forwarded based on the international human rights instruments. Similarly formulation of related regulation and directives is equally important to fully implement the laws on fundamental rights.
