Kathmandu, 21 December: Nepal and Bangladesh have decided to develop a plan to construct dedicated transmission line in the Indian soil after India gave positive gesture to allow electricity trade between Nepal and Bangladesh.
Indian company GMR has already decided to export electricity produced from Upper Karnali to Bangladesh.
GMR has planned to supply 500 MW electricity to Bangladesh by 2025.
Accordingly, Nepal and Bangladesh have proposed to construct five mega electricity projects with the plan of exporting electricity to Bangladesh.
