Kathmandu, 20 December: The Yeti Group is found involved in exploiting Nepal Trust’s property.
Thamserku Developers, sister organization of the Yeti Group, has leased the land belonging to the Nepal Trust in King’s Way for 30 years.
While endorsing the deal between the Trust and the Developers, the nation has lost above 5 billion rupees, according to Kantipur daily.
Earlier, the Developers had presented a proposal of paying 6 billion 970 million rupees to the Trust in 30 years. However, later the deal was finalized only on paying one billion 400 million rupees.
The board meeting of the Nepal Trust on 13 April, 2008 had decided to lease one ropani 14 aana land of the Trust in the King’s Way.
According to sources, under the political direction, the Yeti Group was rewarded.
Accordingly, the cabinet meeting held recently, has decided to reward the Group for leasing the Gokarna Forest Resort for yet another term.
