Kathmandu, 19 December : Ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) and Rastriya Janata Party (RJP) have agreed to forge partnership in the upcoming election to the National Assembly. Election to pick four lawmakers in the National Assembly is scheduled to be held on 23 January 2020. The top leadership of the NCP and RJP inked an agreement at the prime minister's official residence in Baluwatar on Wednesday.
Of the vacant four seats, NCP and RJP would file candidacies for two each. RJP would submit the candidacy from other men and differently-abled persons or marginalized groups while the NCP's candidates would be from the category of Dalit men. With this, both the parties would vote for each other's candidates.
