By Our Reporter The standing committee meeting of the ruling Nepal Communist Party, which was supposed to end on Tuesday continued on Wednesday as many leaders were yet to express their views on the political reports presented by the party's chairmen KP Sharma Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal. In the meeting, leaders Ghanashyam Bhusal said that the political report was poorly written reflecting the poor academic knowledge of the leaders. Beduram Bhusal pointed several flaws and wrong facts of the document. They said the document lacked new strategies and intend to run the party affairs in ad-hoc. However, majority of the leaders backed the documents. In the meeting that began at the party central office at Dhumrabarahi, party chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ had presented the political report on Sunday. On the occasion, he had stressed on making the works of the party and the government effective. The report includes topics like an assessment of the national and international situation, strengthening of the party unity, evaluation of the government's works and the by-election, approval of the decisions made earlier by the party secretariat and the future action plan of the party. However, the document is silent on the issue related to former Speaker Krishna Bahadur Mahara who was doing his day in jail for allegedly harassing a woman. Apart from the political report, the agenda of the meeting also include amending the party statute, the Nepal-India border problem and the upcoming central committee meeting, among others. Party general secretary Bishnu Poudel had presented the statute amendment proposal as well in the meeting.
