By Our Reporter This week the country lost two film actors. Film Development Board Chairman and actor Keshab Bhattarai and veteran actor Deepak Chhetri died. Both of them were paid tribute on Monday first at the premises of Film Development Board and later at Aryghat. Bhattarai had passed away at the age of 53 on Sunday at around 10:30 PM due to cardiac arrest. He took his last breathe while he was being taken to Om Hospital for treatment. He was appointed as the Chairperson of FDB on March 18, 2019. Bhattarai, who was also the Vice Chairman of FDB, had started his acting career in 1990 through a film named 'Koseli'. Bhattarai has also acted movies such as Chino, Dui Thopa Aashu, Thuldai, Laxman Rekha, Dautari, Sukha Dukha, Hami Tin Bhai, Pahuna, Aishwarya and so forth. Afno Manche, Karmayodha, Chodigaye Paap Lagla, So Simple, Yatra, Bracelet were the movies produced by Bhattarai. Likewise, actor Dipak Chhetri, 58, was found dead on Saturday. Metropolitan Police Office, Kamalpokhari said that Chettri was found him dead in his own residence in Dilli Bazaar. Actor Chettri has been a part of dozens of Nepali movies, including Jhola. "Cha Maya Chapakkai" was the last movie Chettri had acted on. Chhetri had been ill since last three years. He had lost his voice after a meaty bump grew in his vocal cord. Chhetri was unable to receive proper treatment due to his poor economic condition. State honours were given to both Bhattarai and Chhetri during their cremation at Aryghat. Minister for Communications and Information Technology Gokul Baskota covered their body with flag at Aryaghat. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli also expressed his condolences over the death of two personalities of the Nepali filmdom.
