By Our Reporter One of the leaders of the ruling Nepal Communist Party in Jhapa is eying for public land worth millions of rupees. When party general secretray Bishnu Paudel was accused of his involvement in the notorious land scam of Baluwatar in Kathmandu, NCP leader Gagan Puri in the hometown of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli in Damak of Jhapa has been found making attempts to caputure public land. Coincidentally, the land which Puri has been trying to capture is also of Baluwatar in Damak Municiplaity 8. A preliminary investigation showed that Puri has been trying to trasfer the government land in the name of an individual. He had made a nexus with the employees of the Land Revenue Office and Survey Office to acomplish the work. Accoridng to spokesperson of District Police Office Jhapa Mahendra Kumar Shrestha, Puri was found to have made an attempt to grab 11 bighas of land by handing over its ownership to a common man of Pathari Sanischare first and then to capture it. Puri was making preparation to register the land in the name of Om Prakash Paudel of Pathari.
