Kathmandu, 13 June: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) arrested a government employee red-handed taking a bribe of Rs 100,000 in Saptri district today.
According to CIAA, a team led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Shyam Sarukh Magar arrested Bikash Shrestha, engineer for Rupani rural municipality, Saptari. Shrestha received Rs 100,000 in bribe from his client for assisting a bill payment following the construction of a suspension bridge, said Mahesh Acharya, chief of CIAA Saptari branch office.
