Kathmandu, 11 June: The parliamentary and State Affairs and Good Governance Committee has directed the Government to scrap the public notice published by the Federal Public Service Commission to hire 9,161 civil servants at 515 local levels, stating the process was against the spirit of the constitution.
According to Kantipur daily, Since the announcement of the vacancy, the Commission has received 77, 375 applications so far. However, the Commission is still undecided in response to the Committee’s decision.
The Commission had initiated the recruitment process based on the directives of the Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development.
