Kathmandu, 2 June:  A Chinese NGO, China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation (CFPA), handed over a 10-roomed school building for the Mahendra Adarsha Vidyashram at Satdobato in Lalitpur.

The school’s building was damaged by the Gorkha Earthquake on April 25, 2015.  It is one of the 8,000 schools in the country that were damaged by the 7.6 magnitude earthquake.

CFPA had provided Rs 29 million for the construction of the building, said Country Director of CFPA for Nepal, Zou Zhiquiang, and Principal of the School Krishna Dutta Joshi in the handover ceremony that marked the Children Day in China.
