Kathmandu, 31 May: Nepal Communist Party leader Bamdev Gautam has said leaders of erstwhile CPN-UML and CPN-Maoist Centre had agreed to change the government leadership while unifying the parties to form the NCP last year, warning a failure to implement the deal might thwart the unification.
Speaking at a press meet at his home district Pyuthan on Friday, Gautam, who was closely involved the unification negotiation on behalf of the UML, supported then Maoist Centre chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal about the issue. Responding to a query relating to the agreement between Khagda Oli and Prachand on matters of power sharing, Gautam said Oli should abide by the agreement.
