Kathmandu, 31: Flights to and from the Tribhuvan International Airport were badly affected due to adverse weather conditions and Prime Minister Khagda Oli’s visit to India on Thursday. International flights too were affected due to bad weather and a few had to remain in the sky as Oli’s Delhi bound aircraft was preparing to take off.
Some of the domestic and international flights were cancelled while few were diverted to nearby airports, while many domestic flights suffered delay. Tibet Airlines cancelled its flight while China Airlines plane was diverted to Kolkata, India.
Meanwhile, the Weather Forecasting Division has predicted change in the weather with heavy rainfall and winds in the eastern, central and western hilly regions of the country for the next three days. Kathmandu valley too had experience rainfall this afternoon, with 11 milliliters of rainfall recorded by the Division.
