Kathmandu, 25 May: The Himalayan Bank Limited has opened its 58th branch at Janakpurdham Sub-metropolitan City-1, Station Road Janakpurdham with effective operation since Wednesday.

Inaugurating the branch of the bank Chief Minister Lalbabu Raut expressed that the Bank will facilitate the residents to help them the enlarge their productive sector businesses by meeting their financial needs apart from providing modern banking facilities.

Manoj Bahadur Shrestha, Chairman, Himalayan Bank Limited recalled that the district has huge potential to invest in productive sector. He further said that there is a good potentiality thus the bank will be focusing its activities on productive sectors starting with lending activities to small and medium entrepreneurs under the ‘Small and Medium Enterprises Loan’ and urged the resident for their active involvement.

Shrestha further, highlighted the recent financial position of the Bank. According to him, deposit base of the Bank has reached to the size of Rs. 112.27 billion and loan portfolio is over Rs. 98.53 billion. The Bank has been able to generate Operating Profit of Rs. 2.87 billion up to the third quarter end of current fiscal year.

Attorney General Dipendra Jha, Directors of Himalayan Bank, Chief Executive Officer including Senior Executives of the Bank, Local dignitaries and reputed entrepreneurs of the region were also present at the inauguration function.
