Nepal has been used as a nation of slogans by none other than their own political leaders. Even during the King’s rule, there was a wily politician who struck a nice sounding slogan saying he will bring in more than 500 thousands tourists here when there was no infrastructure to do this. The same slogan is now being repeated by political leaders and tourism entrepreneurs. There are not enough flights, no good roads, not enough skilled manpower or other things which well to do tourists take it for granted. Look at Bhutan, they only encourage luxury tourists and ignore back-packers. Now we are being given dreams of trains, ships and a prosperous Nepal and happy Nepalese. If these are not slogans, what are?
