Kathmandu, 12 May: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has raided at the Department of Drug Administration, a national medicine regulatory  authority, suspecting of irregularities in course of issuing special recommendations and monitoring of imported drugs manufactured by non-Nepali pharmaceuticals.

According to Naya Patrika daily, the CIAA has taken control of some important documents as it received repeated complaints  of dishonest dealings in issuing permission letters for the import of drugs, registration of pharmaceutical companies and their monitoring.
