Former King Gyanendra, who is staying in the Himalayan Tea Garden, private property of the former king in Damak, Jhapa, went Ilam, eastern hill district on 31 March.
After one night halt in Ilam, the former King went to Panchthar on 1 April and spent one night there. On 2 April, the former King returned to Ilam and stayed there.
According to reports, the former King offered pooja at different Hindu shrines in Ilam and Panchthar.
According to Anil Basnet, chairman, Shiva Sena Nepal, the former King attended different religious programmes in the two district headquarters -- Ilam and Panchthar. The former King also met with local citizens during his visit.
Respecting the wish of the local leaders and workers of the political parties for the former King’s visit in their hometowns, the visit was organised, said chairman Basnet.
After completing visits of the two districts, the former King is scheduled to return to Damak, his tour camp today (4 April).
