Kathmandu, 24 April: Doubts have surfaced on the fourth BIMSTEC Summit in Kathmandu this year. Currently, Nepal is the chair nation of the BIMSTEC and she should host the Summit, however, Nepal has not started primary preparation for the Summit, reports Tika Bandhan of the Nepal Samacharpatra vernacular daily. It will take at least four to six months to complete preparation works to success the Summit. According to a Foreign Ministry source, as Nepal has not started preparation for the Summit, doubts have surfaced on BIMSTEC Summit to take place in Nepal this year. The government is engaged in improving relations with the neighbouring countries and exchange of high-level visits, thus, BIMSTEC Summit is not in the priority list of the government.
