Kathmandu, 18 April: Foreign Minister Pradeep Gyawali, who is currently in Beijing, has held bilateral talks with his counterpart Wang Yi today.

At the joint press conference organised after the talks, Chinese Foreign Minister opined that a tripartite economic corridor should be developed through infrastructure development projects in Nepal, China and India.

According to Onlinekhabar news portal, the Chinese Foreign Minister informed that highway networks in Tibet will be made more effective for reconstruction works of the earthquake damaged structures, diversification of energy sources and promotion of trade between Nepal and China.

Addressing the press conference, Nepali foreign Minister Gyawali informed that he has dreamed to travel China by modern train from Nepal. He informed that feasibility study regarding construction of Nepal-China Himalayan railway route is underway.

Chinese FM Yi informed that soon the list of the projects to be included in OBOR will be made public.

Nepal has already signed on OBOR, however, the projects under OBOR are yet to be.

Yi also said that China always respects and supports Nepal’s sovereignty, geographical indivisibility and protection of Nepal’s welfare.
