Global IME Bank has contributed Rs6.5 million to the Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund to provide aid to victims of the floods in the country’s southern Tarai belt.
Chandra Prasad Dhakal, chairman of the bank, handed over a cheque to Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba on Friday.
Of the total fund, Rs5.1 million was contributed by the bank, while the remaining Rs1.4 million was raised from the staff of the bank.
The bank’s staff contributed one day’s salary to the PM Disaster Relief Fund.
