One of the agendas of this AGM is to endorse 20% bonus share and 5% cash dividend from the profits it earned in FY 2072/73. The corporation has expanded its offices in 71 different places and is giving quality service to its clients from its various offices. The corporation is providing salt, sugar, flour, gas, legumes, rice, daal, oil and other edible goods for sale. Along with this it is also providing hybrid wheat seeds, fertilizers provided by Nepal government and distributing urea, DAP and potash. Beside these the corporation on its own initiative has been providing ammonium sulphate and single super sulphate and selling them to the farmers as the chemical fertilizers provided by the government is insufficient. The corporation has been providing iodine supplemented salt to the Nepalese population for the prevention of diseases caused by the lack of iodine. The survey of 2016 has shown that 94.5 % of the population are using iodine supplemented salt and the diseases caused by lack of iodine have been eradicated. 1 lakh 86 thousand metric ton of salt is being used every year in Nepal. According to the policy of the Nepalese government there should be storage of salt to last for at least six months at any given moment. This is the reason why even during the mdesh agitation and frequent bandhs the salt did not become scarce and the prise of salt did not rise. Therefore it is very necessary for the Nepalese government to make policies regarding other basic necessities just like for salt.
