Chief of the Army Staff (CoAS) General Rajendra Bahadur Chettri has said that separatist groups have become active, and the Nepal Army would not tolerate their activities.
Chief Chhetri made this remark while addressing a special function held at the Army Headquarters on Sunday. In the function organised by ex-Army Chiefs and other retired officers, Chettri said that the nation was passing through a fluid political transition phase, and some unwanted elements were trying to take advantage of the situation.
Stating that the NA would not tolerate unscrupulous activities which pose serious threat the nation and national sovereignty, Chhettri revealed that the army was closely monitoring all such unwanted activities. He however said that the dissatisfaction caused by political situation should be addressed politically.
