By Our Reporter Sanghu vernacular weekly has reported that although the Nepal Airlines has paid eight billion rupees as the first installment to purchase two wide-body Airbus aircraft, there is no certainty of the arrival of the aircrafts before one and a half years. There is the practice of manufacturing aircraft by the company only after receiving the first installment of the money. Nepal Airlines, instead of paying money directly to the Airbus company, has paid to another company, which has no such aircraft to deliver to the Nepal Airlines. If NAC had purchased the aircraft directly from the company, it could save a huge amount, instead, the Corporation, by creating a broker, has paid the first installment to the broker, the Weekly has reported. If NAC had purchased aircraft directly from the Airbus company, it could save 19 million US dollars. However, with the plan of enjoying four billion rupees worth commission, Sugatratna Kangshakar [MD} and his group has created an artificial broker, Deepak Sharma and paid advance worth 8 billion rupees by taking loan from Karmachari Sanchaya Kosh and Nagarik Lagani Kosh. In this deal, the then prime minister Pushpakamal Dahal, present prime minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and also former prime minister KP Oli had taken interest, said the Weekly. Accordingly, the caretaker government led by Dahal had made a suspicious deal of handing over the Budhigandaki hydropower project to a controversial Chinese company. The Chinese company is infamous in delaying construction works and making further claims for completing the project. From such an act of the government led by Dahal, there is suspicion on the timely construction of the project of national priority, Budhigandaki and suspects have been created on big deal of commission.
