By Our Reporter Deep Basnyat has assumed office as the chief of Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) after taking oath of office on Monday. The Constitutional Council on last Tuesday had recommended Basnyat for the post of the CIAA chief. Basnyatwas working as the acting chief of CIAA since the suspension of LokmansinghKarki after the impeachment motion against him. Later, the Supreme Court, through a verdict, had told the government to sack Karki.
