image0031A new play Aandolan written by Saurabh Karki and directed by Sudham CK, is being staged at the Theatre Mall, in Sundhara, in the Capital. The play kicked off from Chaitra 24 (April 6). “The date is significant in Nepal’s political history. It’s the day when the People’s Revolution I and II started. Hence, as a commemoration of two significant events, we decided to start staging the play from the same date. The play, just like the movement, will run for 19 days” said Kedar Shrestha, artistic director at Theatre Mall. “The play is an ode to the mass movements, and features actors who took part at the historic event,” Shrestha added. The play features actors Rear Rai, Samyog Guragain, Ingihopo Koinch Sunuwar, Sijan Dahal, Binita Gurung, Milan Karki, and Sudip Khatiwada, among others.
