pushpa-columnIn the recent past, vice chairman BhimRawalof the UML party had shared one information that he had received a report about the Patna meeting that was attended by the leaders of the Tarai based parties, who are demanding amendment of the constitution; those who are campaigning for a separate Madheshstate; armed groups in the Tarai and Indian intelligence. When he received this alarming information, he shared the information with the executive chief of the government, Prime Minister PushpakamalDahal.Dahal, instead of verifying the information through the security organs, shared this information with the very leaders of the Tarai centric parties who tried to make fool of Rawal. Nevertheless, Rawal took his stance on his claim saying that his information cannot be wrong as he had already assumed the posts of the home minister and also the defence minister. Just recently, a highly placed source informed to this scribe that Rawal was not wrong as the Patna meeting had taken place on 17 Pous, i.e. 1 January, 2017. The source said that the ultimate goal of the Tarai based parties is to declare Madhesh as an independent nation by splitting all the Tarai districts from the map of Nepal. The present demand of the Madheshi parties is of splitting Nepal. Even if the demands are fulfilled by amending the constitution, the Madheshi leaders are not going to support the constitution. They will put forward further demand of excluding hill districts from No 1 and No 7 provinces, the source informed. Talking about the Patna meeting, the source said that it was ultimately the plan to declare a Madhesh nation with the support of India. The meeting had also decided to form armed forcescomprising of Madheshi youths, providing armed trainings to the forces in different parts of India and Nepal; importing arms from India and storing them in different parts of the Tarai districts; developing shelters in Biratnagar, Janakpur, Birgunj, Bhairahawa and Nepalgunj. The Madheshi leaders such as RajendraMahato, Mahantha Thakur should play the role of mediators with the government by keeping engaged the government and the Madheshi armed movement to be led by CK Raut, RajdevGoit and Jaya Prakash Prasad Gupta. The meeting decided to continue the agitation until achieving the goal of making Madheshan independent nation. The recent Rajbiraj bloodbath was also a planned design to agitate the Tarai people, the source has claimed. Sure, as there was participation of the Indian intelligence at the Patna meeting, the Madheshi leaders are receiving all kind of support from the Indian government. The source also informed that from 1 Baisakh i.e. 14 April, the armed movement is going to be launched in the Tarai districts. If these claims are true, surely, the nation will be engaged in another civil war as the movement is aimed at capturing property of the hill people residing in the Tarai districts and also displacing them from the Tarai districts. By considering serious threats to the nation’s sovereignty, independence and indivisibility, UML leader BhimRawal had drawn the attention of PushpakamalDahal, however, Dahal didn’t take it seriously. One cannot say that Dahal and the major ally of the government, NC leaders including SherBahadurDeuba are unaware about the situation. Nevertheless, it seems, they have prepared the mentality that they are unable to tackle the situation, therefore, they have remained silent. Of course, the leaders, who have already surrendered to their Indian bosses, have no courage to say anything about the atrocities perpetrated by India. The UML leaders, including party chairman KP Oli are clearly saying that the leaders of the Madhesh centric parties are carrying foreign agendas, thus, their demand should not be responded to. Oli is even saying that the present government is not functioning on its own but it is functioning through a remote control by some other else in foreign countries. The Indian design of separating and annexing our Tarai territory is not a new plan but it was developed decades ago immediately after annexation of Sikkim, a sovereign and independent nation. The then Indian prime minister Indira Gandhi had given orders to RAW chief to accomplish the plan, however, we were saved as Gandhi faced bad days that time. If analyzed, the Indian role in launching the “people’s war” by the Maoist to the November 2005 12-point agreement endorsed among the seven political parties and the then underground force Maoist, it becomes clear that the ultimate goal of India was to annex Nepal’s Tarai districts. Under the very design, our political leaders, through a consensus, distributed citizenship certificates to 4.2 million Indians residing in Nepal since 1989. Whether our security organs are aware about such a conspiracy, whether the security organs are ready to tackle the situation, we don’t know. If the situation in the Tarai districts will further escalate, it will be beyond the control of the security organs also.
