By Our Reporter Right from the day, the cabinet on February 20 had decided to pick Asha Kumari Lama and Sharmila  Parajuli as envoys to UAE and Oman respectively, the social sites as well as the news portals were full of stories about their involvement in manpower trade and their cheatings. Lama and Parajuli were among the 12 persons recommended for the post of ambassadors in different Nepali missions abroad. It was reported that both Parajuli and Lama were engaged in agencies that outsourced Nepali workers to other countries, including Oman and UAE, and those agencies had several charges relating to cheating and swindling poor workers. Parajuli was recommended from the Madhesi Janaadhikar Forum-Democratic quota, while Lama was picked by ruling the Nepali Congress party. However, MoFA on Friday ‘dropped’ Parajuli and Lama when the final list of nominees was made, said a source. Rames Koirala recommended from NC has also been drawn into controversy due to his involvement in manpower business. Nomination of Lama has invited dispute in the Nepali Congress. The Ram Chandra Poudel-led faction of NC accused party president Sher Bahadur Deuba of recommending Lama as ambassador to UAE by receiving money from her.
