According to a statement, NIC Asia Capital Ltd can now provide issue management, registrar to shares, underwriting and portfolio management services. “NIC Asia Capital Ltd will soon launch merchant banking services, including depository participant services, on behalf of NIC ASIA Bank,” the statement added. 166 transitional shelters handed over by Chaudhary Foundation Chaudhary Foundation (CF) has handed over 166 transitional shelter homes under its CG Ashraya project to earthquake-affected communities in Kumpur Village Development Committee (VDC) of Dhading district. The homes were built in wards 1 and 4 of the VDC. Executive Director of Chaudhary Foundation, Rahul Chaudhary, handed out the plaques of the homes to the affected people at a formal hand-over ceremony organized in Kumpur VDC on Saturday. The foundation had selected Kumpur as one of the most severely affected villages in the 2015 earthquake. As a high priority project, the foundation completed building the 166 shelters and made them available to the local communities last year despite the adverse conditions following the earthquake. Speaking on the occasion, Chaudhary reiterated his commitment of supporting the earthquake-affected communities both in the short and long terms. “These transitional shelter homes were built as per our commitment of providing safe housing for immediate use in the aftermath of the earthquake,” he said, adding that the foundation was now focused on carrying out projects for long-term support on safe housing, quality education, and economic sustainability of the affected communities. “Chaudhary Foundation is willing to join hands with the National Reconstruction Authority on its mission of rebuilding Nepal.
