Kathmandu, Jan 21: Thirty-two personalities including Deputy Chief Reporter of the Rastriya Samachar Samiti, Sharachchandra Bhandary have been honoured here on Saturday.
Neeti Anusandhan Pratisthan, Nepal honoured them for their significant contribution to the nation from their respective sectors after studying in various educational institutions of India.
Bhandary was honoured for his notable contribution to the development of society through the medium of journalism.
At a programme organised here on Saturday, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Jeevan Bahadur Shahi, honoured them.
On the occasion, Minister Shahi suggested the honoured personalities to work for the prosperity of the country and stressed the need of further strengthening Nepal-India relations.
He also stressed the need of developing physical infrastructure for the development of the country.
Similarly, Indian Ambassador to Nepal, Ranjit Rae, said that he has been working as a bridge for the Indian government for the development of Nepal and added that India wanted to work extending support in the hydropower sector of Nepal.
Pratisthan Chairman Deepak Adhikari said that relations of both countries should be further strengthened.
Tapanath Shukla, Dr Chandramani Adhikari, Dr Asha Singh, Jagadish Prasad Agrawal, Tulasi Ghimire are among the honoured personalities. RSS
