By Our Reporter Three new branches of Kushma-Parbat, Phidim-Panchthar and Jeetpur-Bara and one new Extension Counter at Birat Medical Teaching Hospital Extension Counter of NIC ASIA Bank have been formally inaugurated on 28 December. The Kushma Branch was inaugurated by Hari Om Lamichanne, Chairman,Nepal Chamber of Commerce, Kushma.The Jeetpur Branch was inaugurated by Ghanshyam Giri, Chairman, Nepal Chamber of Commerce, Jeetpur and Birat Medical Extension Counter was inaugurated jointly by Ramu Paudel, Director, Nepal Rshtra Bank and Gyanendra Man Singh Karki, Chairman, Birat Hospital Pvt Ltd, Biratnager. Likewise, the new Phidim branch located at Phidim Municipality was  inaugurated on Tuesday by Panchthar Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chair Mitra Prasad Kafle. With the addition of new branches, the Bank is providing services to its customers through 79 branches across the country and 69 ATM outlets. NIC ASIA Bank is one of the largest private sector commercial banks in the country in terms of capital base, balance-sheet size, customer base, number of branch and ATM network. On the first quarter of this fiscal year, compared to the same period of last year, the Bank has achieved recorded growth of 39% on Risk Assets, 34% growth on deposit portfolio and has posted growth of 66% in Net Profit. The Bank maintains Capital Adequacy ratio of 12.55%, which reflects Bank’s strong capital position. Recently convened 19th Annual General Meeting of the Bank has approved for 26% Bonus Share and then after 15% Rights Share to its shareholders. The Bank has a strategy to reach every possible market for better service of its customers and there are more branches coming in operation soon.
