NIC ASIA has started planting trees as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) projects, its chairman Jagdish Prasad Agrawal said in the bank’s nineteenth annual general meeting.
“The bank has taken up a target of planting more than 7,000 plants this fiscal year as its CSR project,” Agrawal was quoted as saying in the statement. Coinciding with the inauguration of the National Games 2016, the plantation program was inaugurated amid a function.
Dignitaries and members of the sports council planted 200 saplings to mark the occasion, the bank said. The project will go full-fledged in June when the season is more favourable for planting, NIC ASIA’s Biratnagar Cluster Head Santosh Rathi said at the inauguration.
