Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal’s speeches have become funnier in the recent weeks. And the funniest speech he made was while addressing a function organised on the occasion of international anti-corruption day on Friday.
PM Dahal said that corruption should be ended for economic prosperity and he was working to strengthen the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA), the anti-graft body of Nepal.
While listening to the PM, most Nepalese could not stop laughing as they are well aware about corrupt nature of PM Dahal and other Maoist leaders.
Moreover, he told a white lie by stating that he was strengthening the CIAA. Of course, he has been working to blunt the CIAA’s teeth when it tried to open a case relating to him.
Now the parliament is impeaching the CIAA chief Lok Man Singh Karki for fear that he would take action against the corrupt leaders including PM Dahal
It was very funny to listen such noble words from those people who have been alleged for rampant corruption. Dahal’s biggest fear was whether CIAA looks into the case relating to the misuse of billions of rupees allocated in the name of the Maoist combatants in the past. CIAA’s chief is being impeached for fear of the corruption charge.
Meanwhile, suspended CIAA chairman Lokman Singh Karki, on the international anti-corruption day, issued a message through the social network that he had stood alone to fight against organised corruption.
Karki intended to say that these corrupt leaders have tried to impeach him fearing that they might come in the CIAA net in near future.
