Masashi Ogawa, Ambassador of Japan hosted a Reception on 2 December to celebrate the 83rd auspicious Birthday of His Majesty the Emperor Akihito at his official residence, Tahachal.
Nearly four hundred of VVIP and VIP guests including the Vice-President Nanda Bahadur Pun as a chief guest, Speaker Onsari Gharti, ministers, ambassadors and heads of international organizations, members of the Legislature Parliament, high ranking government officials attended the reception.
In Japan, the Emperor is the symbol of the State and of the unity of the people. The day of the Birthday of His Majesty the Emperor Akihito, December 23, is also celebrated as the National Day of Japan.
Ex-Crown Princess Himani at Japanese reception

Former Crown Princess and chairman of the Himani Trust graced the reception hosted by Japanese Ambassador Masashi Ogawa on last Friday at his residence in Tahachal. The reception was hosted on the occasion of the 83rd auspicious birthday of His Majesty the Emperor Akihito.
The former Crown Princess also mingled with diplomats attending the reception. To recall, Japan has supported some projects initiated by the Himani Trust.
