By Our Reporter After unification of the two RPPs, RPP has emerged as the fourth largest party in the Parliament with a decisive strength. Until RPP’s central task force decision, political observers had believed that the constitution could be amended even without UML’s support. However, after the decision of the central task force of RPP, chances of amendment of the constitution have been virtually ended. Likewise, pro-republic and pro-Indian group in RPP led by Pashupati Shumsher Rana has been defeated within the party. Even having such a decisive strength, RPP has failed to put its agenda of Hindu nation in the present amendment of the constitution. Furthermore, former RPPN had adopted the agenda of Hindu kingdom. With this agenda, RPPN had bagged 25 seats in the CA (now parliament). The votes that RPPN had received was not because of the influence of the party leaders but because of sympathy on the Hindu kingdom. If the unified RPP will give-up the agenda of Hindu kingdom, the RPP will be no more different than the NC or UML. Therefore, how the unified party will attract the voters, RPPN voters have started to question. ‘If RPP will fail to adopt the agenda of Hindu kingdom, it will lose its identity and may also lose its strength’, RPPN voters have remarked.
