IME Ltd., Global IME Bank Ltd. and IME Automotive have jointly felicitated mountaineer and ultra-runner Sanjay Pandit by handing over a cheque of Rs. 1,00,000. The cheque was handed over to him amid a special program which marked the presence of IME Group’s Executive Chairman Chandra Prasad Dhakal, IME’s Managing Director Hem Raj Dhakal, IME’s CEO Suman Pokharel, Global IME Bank Ltd.’s CEO Anil Gyawali and Sandeep Agrawal, Director of LT Enterprises which is the automobile wing of IME Group and the authorized distributor for Ashok Leyland.
Speaking at the program, Chairman Dhakal praised Pandit for his bravery and congratulated him on successfully conquering mountains in the past. Dhakal also added that his endeavours have helped take Nepal to the world and his efforts should be recognized and supported by all. The team wishes for Pandit’s success in his future expedition to conquer mountains around the world.
Pandit has successfully scaled world’s highest peak Mt. Everest, world’s eighth highest peak Mt. Manaslu, Europe’s highest peak Mt. Elbrus and highest mountains of Japan and America. In the past he has successfully hoisted IME’s flag on top of Mt. Everest and other peaks conquered by him. Pandit has reverse scaled Mt. Kilimanjaro in Africa and Mt. Kosciuszko in Australia and holds numerous records in his name for mountain climbing. He is on an expedition to scale seven highest peaks of seven continents. He is on a quest to conquer Mt. Vinson in Antarctica in the near future.
