
IME (No. 1 Remittance Company of Nepal) has been awarded as the “Best Remittance Company” by Frost and Sullivan, a global consulting firm headquartered in California, USA. Managing Director Hem Raj Dhakal received the award on behalf of IME amid a function held in Kathmandu last week. Upendra Poudel, President of Nepalese Bankers Association, handed over the award. Chairman of IME Chandra Prasad Dhakal and CEO Suman Pokharel were also present during the award ceremony. Speaking at the event Managing Director Dhakal thanked Frost and Sullivan for initiating the awards in Nepal which would take Nepal to the world and encourage Nepalese Entrepreneurs. Likewise, Chandragiri Hills Limited bagged the 'Best New Tourism Destination Award' for the promotion of tourism destination.
Frost and Sullivan has honored top Nepalese companies and personalities from various industries during the first edition of its flagship event “Growth, Innovation and Leadership Summit – Digital Transformation: A new Strategic Imperative”. The recipients of the 2016 Frost and Sullivan Nepal Best Practices Awards have been selected and honored based on an in depth research conducted by analysts appointed by the consulting firm. The criteria for selection of the winners were revenue growth, market share and growth in market leadership, leadership in market innovation etc.
At the same function Nabil bank (first foreign joint venture bank of Nepal) also was awarded the best financial institution of the year.
