One might have noticed or not that the Indian President Pranav Mukharjee was under the Indian government’s security surveillance during his entire visit to Nepal. The above photograph reproduced from The Himalayan Times is the evidence that Mukharjee was under Indian PM Modi’s strong surveillance during his visit to Nepal. Mukharjee performed a special pooja at Pashupatinath Temple. At that time also, Ajit Dhovel of the Indian national security council was standing next to Mukharjee. Dhovel was there to check Mukharjee, said a political analyst.
To recall, Mukharjee was assigned to the post of the President of India by BJP’s arch rival Congress I and Mukharjee himself was a strong critic of the BJP in India. Except from official relations, there is no harmonious relations between Modi and Mukharjee. Therefore, Modi’s confidante was deployed to monitor Mukharjee’s activities, it is believed.
