By Our Reporter 14-1452772726-gyanendra-600-jpgWhen the republic government neglected to preserve culture and tradition, locals have urged former King Gyanendra to maintain the tradition. This year, the organisers of the Pachali Bhairab Festival have invited former King to grace the festival, offer pooja and exchange Khadga, Annapurna Post daily has reported. According to report, this Khadga exchange ceremony and Pachali Bhairab festival are being organised since Malla King Gunakam Dev’s era and the kings were attending the festival when the Ghampo (big vessel) was being changed. This year also, the Ghampo is being replaced by a new one. As we all know the country was declared federal secular republic without people’s consent, therefore, it was not accepted by above 90 percent of the population. Now, people are seeking the king’s role in preservation of religion, culture and tradition.
