By Vutti Vuttisant flag-pins-nepal-thailandI am very pleased with the persistently close ties between Thailand and Nepal throughout the past 56 years of diplomatic relations. Our two countries are naturally connected through cultural and religious proximity. Since the establishment of Thailand–Nepal diplomatic relations in 1959, the overall relations between our two countries have always been excellent, based on mutual trust, respect, and understanding. We have close cooperation in various fields of common interests and mutual concerns. We have continuously worked together to strengthen our relations. Both countries always support each other in international and regional forum. I am also very pleased with our close ties and cooperation at the people-to-people level. I and my staffs at the Royal Thai Embassy have experienced a very good friendship from every sector in Nepal. I want to thank you all of you that have been in good cooperation with our side. A number of activities and projects have been initiated and driven for mutual interest of our two countries and numbers of projects and programmes activities has already successfully executed. There are still numbers of projects that need to be done. I would like to reaffirm my strongest desire to maintain and continued strengthen the cordial relations and cooperation by the Royal Thai Government, the Royal Thai Embassy in Nepal and from Thailand to the Nepali people. I would like to thank you Mr. Philippe Belhay, General Manager of Hotel Yak & Yeti, Nepal – Thailand Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Nepal – Thailand Trade and Cooperation for supporting us and make this reception successfully happens. Last but not least, I would like to take this opportunity to inform you that I shall be leaving Kathmandu at the end of this month upon completion of my assignment in Nepal. I also would like to express my thanks and appreciation for your kind cooperation to me and my staffs at the Royal Thai Embassy.
