IANS Popular fantasy drama TV series Game of Thrones has bagged nine Creative Arts Emmys which focus primarily on key technical disciplines and behind-the-scenes crafts of television production. This year, for the first time, the Television Academy's Board of Governors voted to expand the Creative Arts Emmys - which hitherto had been a single ceremony - to two consecutive nights at the Microsoft Theater. On night one, Saturday, Game of Thrones took home nine wins, reports variety.com. Winning the Outstanding Casting for a Drama Series trophy, the show, which is followed globally, bagged trophies under categories including Outstanding Makeup for a Single-Camera Series (Non-Prosthetic); Outstanding Costumes for a Period/Fantasy Series, Limited Series or Movie; Outstanding Production Design for a Narrative Contemporary or Fantasy Programme (One Hour or More); Outstanding Stunt Coordination for a Drama Series, Limited Series or Movie; Outstanding Special Visual Effects; Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Comedy or Drama Series (One-Hour); and Outstanding Casting for a Drama Series.
