President Vidya Bhandari is the head of state of a secular nation having no belief on religion. Odd to notice, in spite of her personal belief as being a communist and also being a head of the state of a secular nation, Bhandari is visiting Hindu temples and performing “special” pooja. She visited Janaki Temple in Janakpur last year. The government had to manage her security and all the travel expenses. Likewise, Bhandari, during the holy month of Shrawan, visited Pashupatinath Temple and offered special pooja to Lord Pashupatinath. In December last year also, she had offered special pooja at the Pashupatinath Temple. If she is a communist and she has no belief in God, why is she offering pooja in different temples? If she is a President of a secular state, does the constitution allow her to visit the Hindu temples by spending government funds? Otherwise, if she has belief in God and she feels that she is a Hindu, why not she lobby for declaring Nepal a Hindu nation?
