A journalist considered close to the South block Prashant Jha reported in an Indian newspaper that PM Pushpakamal Dahal had sent a letter to Indian PM Narendra Modi with an apology for committing mistakes made by him in the past.
DPM and Home minister Bimilendra Nidhi had gone to Delhi at the capacity of a special envoy of Dahal immediately after Dahal was elected the PM. Nidhi had handed over the letter by Dahal to Modi.
In the letter, it has been reported that, Dahal had assured to Modi to address all the concerns of India including amendment of the constitution as per the wish of Delhi.
In the course of amendment of the constitution, Dahal is planning to register a proposal for amendment of the constitution in the Parliament before his departure to India for a four day visit.
If the constitution is amended as per the wish of Delhi or say Indian PM Modi, then Nepal will receive a constitution as per the wish of the Indian PM Modi. The constitution perhaps be a gift for the Nepali people from Modi and, therefore, the constitution can be called as Modi constitution!
Tjis is not surprising, when the Americans occupied Japan, General Douglas Macarthur had written a constitution for Japan. Similarly, Indian PM modi may write another constitution for Nepal!
