By Our Reporter Former Prime Minister K. P. Oli, who has openly been accusing India of pulling down his government, denied meeting Indian ambassador to Nepal Ranjeet Rae at former’s Balkot residence. Instead, Oli told Rae to meet him at the UML’s headquarters. Interestingly, Oli did not allow Rae to meet him at Balkot home just a day after he welcomed  Chinese envoy Wu Chuntai at his home. This clearly showed that Oli was not happy with India. Even during the meeting Oli reportedly reminded Rae that Nepal is a sovereign country and any unwanted activities of the foreigners were not acceptable for him. Not allowing Rae to meet at his Balkot residence was the former PM Oli’s tit for tat. Indeed, Rae had the biggest role in spoiling the Nepal-India relations by instigating the Madhes-based parties in August last year just weeks before the new constitution was to promulgate in Nepal. He told lies stating that India had not imposed blockade against Nepal even though when no tankers and trucks were allowed to enter Nepal. How Oli treated the Indian envoy should come as a lesson to other leaders. At least they should stop meeting the foreign ambassadors whenever and wherever the latter wanted.
