Sajha Yatayat Cooperative is preparing to introduce 30 disabled-friendly buses in Kathmandu Valley. Sajha has already signed an agreement with the Indian automobile manufacturing company, Ashok Leyland. The vehicles are expected to arrive by the last week of August, said Mahendra Raj Pandeya, Sajha manager. He added that Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) was investing Rs 100 million to introduce the disabled-friendly vehicles in the Valley as per the agreement that was reached earlier. The KMC has already provided the fund to Sajha.
