Kakadvitta (Jhapa), The school drivers at private schools across Jhapa district are now entitled to Rs 12,000 as a basic salary. An understanding reached between the agitating school drivers and PABSON (Private and Boarding School's Organization) in a meeting held at the PABSON's office at Birtamode on Monday decided on the same. The Association of Private Schools' drivers in Jhapa had been agitating since April 22, demanding Rs 12,000 as the basic salary as well as festival allowance and free education to their one child. With the agreement, the agitating drivers have called off their protest, according to Padam Lal Tamang, President of Association of Private Schools' School Drivers. According to the agreement, the basic salary for school drivers is agreed at Rs 12,000 in the schools having at least 400 students. RSS
