Nepali documentary feature Bhagyele Bacheka Haru, has won an award in the UK. The acclaimed documentary won the Best Documentary Award at the first Edinburg Nepali Film Festival. The documentary is garnering very good reviews all around the world. During the event organised to celebrate the bicentennial relationship between the UK and Nepal, ‘Sunpaani’, directed by Sabin Bastola, won the Best Feature Film award. Similarly, Kamal Bhatta-helmed Chokhyani won the award for Best Short Movie. Bhagye le Bacheka Haru had also recently won the Best Documentary Award at the Panorama section in the KIMFF Festival in Kathmandu. The 45-minute documentary revolves around the story of the survivors in last year’s quakes.
